The Center for Fine Art Photography announces
Portfolio Showcase, Volume 4, Book and Online Exhibition

Deadline December 29, 2009, all submission is on line at www.c4fap.org

Fifteen photographers will be chosen to display their twelve-image portfolio in The Center for Fine Art Photography’s Portfolio ShowCase Volume 4: Book and OnlineExhibition.

Juror: Katherine Ware

Katherine Ware is Curator of Photography at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe.
Awards: Book Cover Award, Exhibition Award, and more
This exhibition provides opportunities for artists to be published, and present their work to an international audience of collectors, curators, art consultants and others who appreciate photography.

Juror’s Selection – Book Cover Award: The Juror will select one portfolio to be the first presented in the publication Portfolio ShowCase Volume 4, with one of the artist’s images selected for the cover.
Exhibition Award: One photographer will be chosen to display their portfolio in the Center’s South Gallery, May 7 – 29.
Portfolio Reviews: All fifteen selected photographers will be offered a portfolio review by Katherine Ware at the Center on May 8, 2010.
Book: All fifteen selected portfolios will be featured in the Portfolio ShowCase Volume 4 which will include the artists’ portraits, statements and contact information. Each artist will receive one complimentary book, with the option to purchase additional books. The book will be signed and include an introduction by the Juror.

Entry Fee:

The entry fee for this call for entry is $65.00 for Members and $85.00 for Non-Members for the first body of work (12 images). Each additional portfolio, regardless of membership, is $85.00
There is no limit on the number of portfolios that may be submitted.

**IMPORTANT**
For your artwork to be eligible, it must fit the following:
* A JPG or GIF file
* The image must be a perfect square and at least 1600x1600 pixels
* All artwork must be in best-quality RGB Color mode (including black and white images)
* All artwork must have a resolution of at least 72 dpi (300 dpi is better)
Note:
by submitting your artwork you agree to grant Soraia and Nailhead Records the rights to use, duplicate and replicate the submission in any form or fashion. We will include your name on your piece. There is no compensation to the winning artist other than the credit and exposure your art will receive.

Be sure to check out TextileRepublic.com - an ongoing design competition where winning designs are used to create a line of unique fabrics, clothing, wallpaper, stationery, and other merchandise. Winning designs will receive $1,000 cash and a 5% royalty. The next contest ends December 1st and is an open contest. Design submissions must tile (i.e. a seamless pattern when duplicated and placed next to itself), and be a Jpeg Image no larger than 500kb. Hello.
I host a blog that is dedicated to New York City retail windows. I'm looking to include other great cities such as Sydney.

I'm looking for someone who is willing to shoot windows and have them posted on my site. You would simply need to send me well exposed, good quality jpegs and I'll handle everything else.

Unfortunately, this isn't a paying gig but you would get full credit and I would also watermark your shots. I get a lot of traffic to the site and you can be guaranteed that your shots will be seen by many, especially with the holidays coming up.
