Going to be in Australia from Dec 1st- January 9th, with a friend, but I'm also going to be doing things on my own with a rental car... my question is this- what's really cool to do down there that isn't touristy? I hate tourist traps, and I tend to not like the sections that are set aside for tourists. I'm from NY, so I know there's a big difference between what my city's like, and what's shown to tourists... haha! I tend to travel a bit, and I've come to believe, the best parts of a country, usually isn't what draws your average visitor...
