Charging Your Battery
Most charge / diversion controllers only pass on the current to your batteries. They are designed to accept whatever the wind turbine can deliver and then act as a break to the turbine, slowing it down during low (10-15 MPH) wind conditions.
Don’t let the term ‘microprocessor control’ fool you! This system of charging is inherently flawed due to the battery only storing 70% of the charge delivered by this method.
The Wind Harvester circumvents this by allowing the H2SO4 (Sulfuric Acid) that is generated next to the PbSO4 (one atom of lead, one atom of sulfur, and four atoms of oxygen) time to diffuse away from each other, giving improved conductivity and less resistance which results in a 25% storage improvement.
