Fully furnished, large room available in Kensington (3 blocks from Uni. New South Wales) in recently renovated 2-bedroom terraced flat on a hill from Sun., 15 Nov. (as I need to head home to be with mum—and take a trip to South America :-). Non-smoking inside house (no worries outside).

• High speed Broadband 2+ADSL connection (with huge download capacity)
• Desk, bookcase, lamps, telephone, and several medium-sized plants :-)
• Kitchen has all amenities (stove, microwave, blender, toaster, etc.)
• Washer in separate storage room
• Ready storage space in backyard for bicycles (where I’ve kept mine) or a surf board (if you’re inclined).
• 5 min. walk to the Uni. NSW
• 15 min. bike / bus ride down Anzac Pde. to Oxford St. / Central Station (5-6 km)
• 15 min. bike / bus ride east to Coogee & Clovelly Beaches (4-5 km)
• 2 blocks from Unilodge / Addison Hotel
• Multitude of busses traversing Sydney on Anzac Parade / direct busses to airport (though we’re far off flight path :-)
• Surrounded by lots of parks / next to Australian Golf Course
• Shopping and restaurants / cafes 2 blocks away on Anzac Parade
• Easy parking (though I bike everywhere :-)
• Rent actually significantly discounted (as the other room is slightly larger with an alcove) - and I was given a similarly good deal when I moved to Sydney & promised to pass it on...!
Negatives:
• Hear announcements from school nearby… but that’s about it!
Ideal for someone preferring a warm house with character (and a kind roommate) at the top of a hill surrounded by greenery—instead of living in an anonymous apartment block or a place with bars on the windows (which we don’t have or need). Particularly great for someone staying in Sydney and interested in settling in over the summer. $210 weekly (+ bills) + $500 fully refundable bond.
