I am a tidy, friendly, non-smoking female (30s) and I have a room furnished with queen bed and bedside tables available in my 2 bedroom unit on Wattle Crescent, Pyrmont (view map). I am seeking a single female or a couple (of any gender) to rent the room, which has a built-in wardrobe and balcony access. The rent is $300 for one person / $330 for a couple per week, or $50 for one person / $60 for a couple per night, and includes all bills (gas, electricity and water).

The unit is light and spacious and has polished floorboards, a sunroom and balcony, with views of Blackwattle Bay and the Anzac Bridge. You will not need to share the bathroom with me, as my room has an ensuite (master) bathroom. The unit includes an internal laundry with washer and dryer.

The unit is approximately 2 kilometres to the city centre and is located opposite the Sydney Fish Markets and Wentworth Park with light rail station behind the building. It is a 20 minute walk to the city centre, Broadway and Glebe; 10 minute walk to Darling Harbour and Star City Casino; and 5 minute walk to bus stop, shops, pubs and cafes. There is a barbeque area, gym, pool, spa and sauna in the building.

Will suit people who are in Sydney for work or holiday and want a cheaper option than a hotel, but more private and comfortable than a hostel. Will also suit people who need somewhere to stay whilst looking for a longer term solution.

Short term stays of 8 weeks or less need to be paid in advance. For longer term stays, you will need to pay 2 weeks rent in advance, and bond/deposit of 2 weeks rent. Located in Prospect Heights, by the 7th Avenue stop of the Q and B subway line, we are 10 minutes from the city by train. Union Square is 20 minutes away, and Central Park, 25. The Empire State building is the central point of the view from the living room windows.

This is a beautiful area of tree-lined streets filled with historic brownstone houses in a rapidly-emerging neighborhood. It is very safe, has plenty of great bars and restaurants on the doorstep, and is ten minutes' walk from Prospect Park, Central Park's little sister, where you have the zoo, Coney Island's original Carousel, and in the winter, a full-sized ice skating rink. If you're worried about getting your coffee fix, and are terrified at the rumours about the local product, a bloke from Melbourne opened a great little cafe about 6 weeks ago ON OUR CORNER!

We are an Aussie and a Kiwi with two boys, one 3 years and the other 1 week. We are non-smokers in the restaurant business. Our place is unusually spacious for a New York apartment, with the usual conveniences. Full kitchen, bath, flatscreen, wireless internet. We don't have a washing machine, but then again, don't know anyone else who does. The ladies at the laundromat around the corner normally return everything washed and folded in a few hours.

Our place will be available from Monday the 14th of December, until Sunday the 17th of January. Ideally, someone would take the place for the duration or at least half of it.
